FASTING

Beloved saints, more than baptism and filling of Holy Spirit we need to help each other learn about FASTING.

FASTING is a type of being poor in spirit. Happy are the poor in Spirit for thiers is the kingdom of HEAVEN (Matthew 5:3).

FASTING is a type of mourning. Happy are are those who mourn for they will be COMFORTED (Matthew 5:4).

FASTING is a type of meekness. Happy are the meek for they will INHERIT THE EARTH (Matthew 5:5).

FASTING is a type of being hungry and thirsty for righteousness. Happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be FILLED (Matthew 5:6).

FASTING is ARMING ourselves with the same mind as Christ and ceasing from sin. Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, ARM yourselves also with the same mind, because whoever has suffered in his body is done with sin (1 Peter 4:1).

God starts working through us when we FAST.

Holy Spirit begins to direct us when we FAST.

We learn to obey His voice, His guidance, His leading when we FAST.

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what he suffered (Hebrews 5:8).

We become more spiritually perceptive, sensitive, awake when we FAST.

We can avoid error and things that try to frustrate God’s purposes when we FAST.

We can pray more effectively when we FAST.

If you want to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, learn FASTING.

If you want to experience the power of the Holy Spirit, the resurrection power of Christ living in you, FAST.

FASTING makes us humble and meek so God can use us.

God resists the proud but gives GRACE to the humble (James 4:6).

FASTING helps us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles so that we can run with PERSEVERANCE the race marked out for us.

FASTING helps us purify our heart in confession and repentence before God and others. Happy are the pure in heart for they will SEE God (Matthew 5:8).

FASTING protects us from distractions and escapism so we can GROW: Get Right On Working!
